2009 News:

Russell plans to race in Skip Barber National Race Series this year in America before stepping up to Star Mazda Series in 2010.  Following Russell’s success in Britain Russell plans to go over to America to further his racing career. Russell’s comments where “I believe America is the land of opportunity  especially when it comes to making a career in race car driving, I am proud to be representing my country and will do my best to win championships”.  Motorsport in America has a lot more potential then in Britain for example Skip Barber Race Series has a prize of $350,000 for the championship winner along with other prize funds for individual races. After Russell’s success in Formula Jedi winning his last race at Anglsea and holding the lap record only 1 tenth of the official outright lap record set by a F3 car Russell is confident he can win races in the Skip Barber Series.
